War is not the answer.

Just a few weeks ago, Iranian leaders massacred tens of thousands of their people for daring to protest against the regime. It was horrific and unnecessary, but Khamenei and his ministers led with an iron fist. Now that he’s dead, apparently there is dancing in the streets of Iran.

War is not the answer.

The terrible pictures of a girl’s school that was hit shortly after we started bombing Iran was tragic on many different levels, but as it turns out, it was NOT caused by an American or Israeli missile, but a failed launch by Iran. Not that the regime has admitted it, but witnesses on the ground have confirmed it.

War is not the answer.

Some Iranians have been praising Israel and the U.S. for instigating the regime change. I can understand their gratitude, but this is not the way to do things. What if Canada and Mexico got together and fired ballistic missiles at Mar A Lago or D.C. to take out Rump? Sure, a lot of people would be happy beyond belief but goddammit, this is NOT the way to do things.

Rump and Bibishit seem to think that they can just start firing missiles at anybody they please (witness Venezuela, and, wait for it, Cuba) simply because they can. NO, THEY CANNOT. Doing so is a war crime! Not to mention neither moral nor ethical.

War is not the answer. Unfortunately, I don’t know what the answer is. I’m happy for those Iranians who have been oppressed by Khamenei’s regime. But, being a Buddhist, I can’t say I’m glad for those deaths, no matter how ‘deserved’ they might be. One person’s death diminishes all. Rump and Bibishit don’t seem to understand that. Nor do they have a grasp on the fact that we live in a society, and there. Are. Rules.

I note that the World Court has declared both Rump and Bibishit war criminals and has basically put a bounty on their heads. Good. Of course, that won’t mean anything, but still. I live for the day when Rump will have to put on an orange jumpsuit and walk behind bars. He may croak before that day, but a girl can dream.

War is not the answer. Captain Bonespurs needs to quit playing soldier or dictator and grow up.

And go to prison.
